- ASIANS & FRIENDS - VANCOUVER (AFVAN)- The Mission of this new group is to promote friendship amongst all its members and visitors, and to provide a safe, confidential, non-threatening and sociable gathering forum, whereby people of all ethnic backgrounds may enjoy various social, cultural and educational activities and events. Gay Asians and those who attend events and who are at different levels of being "out," can feel comfortable being among others who understand and offer their support. Organizers of the group have planned a membership and promotional drive over the next few weeks, and have announced the first event, which will celebrate the Asian community's Mid-Autumn Festival. Asians & Friends - Vancouver will introduce itself by hosting a "Moon Night Romance - Red Lantern Potluck" on Saturday evening, September 25th at a location to be announced soon. Edit Listing
