The Calyx: Wild Sexuality The Calyx explores various challenges to the conventional, domesticated ideas of sexuality and gender: feminism; gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues; and the rethinking/revisioning of sexuality in general. The Calyx Library includes many of Lynna Landstreet's "Nihil Obstat" columns from Xtra (a Canadian lesbian/gay newspaper). The Calyx can be viewed as a standalone site, but it is also part of Wild Ideas, a larger site celebrating the wild in all its forms, from the familiar sense of wilderness and wild nature, to looser interpretations in the contexts of spirituality, sexuality, politics and consciousness.
